Privacy Policy

How Hypersilk handles personal data submitted through this website. Drafted in line with internationally-recognised data protection principles. Last updated April 2026.

1. Scope and framework

This privacy policy describes how Hypersilk ("Hypersilk," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal data submitted via the website hypersilk.io. The policy is drafted in line with internationally-recognised data protection principles, including those reflected in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent frameworks.

Hypersilk operates as a commercial service provider in Chinese-speaking markets. Data subjects retain whatever statutory rights are available to them under the law applicable to their residence; we will respond to verified requests on reasonable terms regardless of residency, and we will cooperate with any competent supervisory authority where legally required to do so.

This policy does not address personal data processed by our clients under separate engagement agreements. Where Hypersilk processes data on behalf of a client, that client is the data controller and its own privacy policy governs the relevant processing.

2. Personal data we collect

If you submit the contact form on hypersilk.io, we collect the personal data you voluntarily provide in that form — specifically: your name, your email address, your company or protocol name, your selected work-stream of interest, and the free-text message you compose. We do not collect any other personal data through this website.

We do not set tracking cookies. We do not operate third-party analytics that fingerprint visitors. We do not share your personal data with advertising networks, data brokers, or any party unconnected to the direct purpose of responding to your inquiry.

Server-side infrastructure (content delivery, form-submission processing, email delivery) generates standard technical logs including IP address, timestamp, and request metadata. These logs are held by our infrastructure providers under their own terms and are used solely for security, abuse prevention, and operational reliability purposes.

3. Purpose and lawful basis

Personal data submitted through the contact form is collected and used exclusively for the following purposes: (a) to respond to your inquiry; (b) to scope, and if mutually agreed, execute a commercial engagement; (c) to maintain records of correspondence for audit and continuity purposes; and (d) to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and tax obligations relating to any resulting engagement.

Our lawful basis for collection and processing is that (i) the data was provided directly by the data subject for the stated commercial purpose, (ii) the collection is necessary to take steps requested by the data subject prior to entering a possible engagement, and (iii) the means of collection are lawful, fair, and transparent. We do not process data submitted to this website on any other lawful basis.

4. Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We do not disclose your personal data to third parties except as required by law, a valid judicial or regulatory order, or in the context of providing the services you have requested (for example, where a scoping discussion necessarily requires a named sub-contractor introduced on a need-to-know basis).

Personal data submitted via the contact form is transmitted to Hypersilk through a commercial form-processing service (Web3Forms) and delivered to an email inbox operated by Hypersilk (hosted with Proton AG, Switzerland). Both services process personal data under their own privacy policies and contractual terms. Use of these services does not constitute a disclosure of personal data for any commercial purpose other than the operation of our inquiry channel.

5. Retention

We retain inquiry correspondence for the period required to respond to your inquiry and, where an engagement follows, for the life of that engagement plus a reasonable audit period thereafter (typically seven years, consistent with standard commercial record-keeping practice). You may request earlier deletion at any time, subject to any legal or regulatory obligation requiring continued retention.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable statutory exceptions and the verification of your identity, you have the right to:

  • Confirm whether Hypersilk holds personal data of which you are the data subject, and obtain access to that data;
  • Request a copy of any such personal data in a commonly-used electronic format (portability);
  • Request correction or rectification of any personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Request erasure of personal data that is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected;
  • Object to, or request restriction of, further processing of your personal data;
  • Be informed of Hypersilk's policies and practices in relation to personal data and the categories of personal data held.

Data-access, correction, erasure, and restriction requests should be addressed in writing to the email address in Section 10. We will acknowledge your request on receipt and substantively respond within 30 calendar days. We do not charge a fee for first-instance requests made by genuine individual data subjects.

7. Security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, processing, erasure, loss, or use. These measures include: transport-layer encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmitted to and from the website; access controls on the email inbox and any derived systems; and selection of reputable infrastructure providers with documented security practices. No system is impervious to compromise; no representation of absolute security is made.

8. Cross-border data transfer

Personal data submitted through the website may be processed on servers operated by our infrastructure providers outside the jurisdiction in which you reside, including (without limitation) the United States, Switzerland, and the European Union. By submitting the contact form, you consent to such cross-border processing solely for the purposes described in Section 3.

9. Cookies and tracking

The hypersilk.io website does not set tracking cookies. Strictly necessary functional cookies may be used by our infrastructure providers (for example, for load-balancing or bot-mitigation) but are not used by Hypersilk for analytics, profiling, or advertising.

10. Contact

Requests relating to this policy, including access, correction, deletion, or any inquiry about our handling of personal data, should be addressed to:

legal@hypersilk.io

We will acknowledge receipt within seven calendar days and substantively respond within 30 calendar days of a verified request.

11. Changes to this policy

We review this policy periodically and may update it from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the date of the current version. Continued use of the website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Material changes will be indicated by a prominent notice on this page.
